The Thomas M. Leonard Partnership Grant for Education Fund
In recognition of founding ENHC President Tom Leonard’s role in the creation of the Heritage Area and his fifteen-year commitment to promoting our mission, the ENHC has established the Thomas M. Leonard Partnership Grant for Education. This educational grant will nurture the future stewards of the region’s historic, cultural and natural resources. Funded by private and public donations, the grant fund benefits qualified organizations serving youth at risk, increasing their awareness and commitment to preserving the Area resources.
Become an Explorer
Explorers are a select group of individuals who receive the unique, behind-the-scenes visits, information and other benefits that provide a fuller, richer experience. Your Essex Heritage Explorer subscription helps to support programs and services designed to enhance, preserve and promote the unique historic, cultural and natural resources found within the Essex National Heritage Area. It is also tax-deductible.

Trails & Sails Sponsorships
The Essex National Heritage Commission sponsors many events to promote the historic, cultural and natural resources of Essex County. Our premier event is the Trails & Sails: A Weekend of Walks and Water. It features two days filled with more than 100 free events hosted by more than 50 sites and organizations throughout the Essex National Heritage Area. Heritage Business Partnerships
The Heritage Business Program extends the promotional benefits of a listing on EssexHeritage.org to profit enterprises whose sites or activities promote and preserve the historic, cultural and natural resources of Essex County, Massachusetts. Participation in the HBP allows Heritage Businesses to benefit from the online presence of EssexHeritage.org, its outreach to regional, national and international visitors and its online ticket sales opportunities.
