Lowell's Boat Shop: A national landmark and working museum

Come visit the birthplace of the legendary fishing Dory. Founded by Simeon Lowell in 1793, the boat shop designed and produced some of the finest small fishing vessels used by American mariners. 7 . Mary Baker Eddy House

Mary Baker Eddy Historic House

Mary Baker Eddy, founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist in 1879, was a guest in this home during the summer and early fall of 1868 and again briefly in 1870. Mrs. Eddy found the Bagley home a quiet refuge for Bible study and she did some of her earliest writing on Christian Science in this historic house. 8 . Rocky Hill Meeting House

Rocky Hill Meeting House

Visit The Rocky Hill Meeting House, the best preserved example of an original 18th century meeting house interior in New England. Built in 1785, it replaced a c. 1715 meeting house for the West Parish of Salisbury and was strategically placed along the only road that crossed (via ferry) the swift Powow River and led travelers to the Salisbury Point area and onward towards Portsmouth. Hear stories of the wealthy summer residents of the past and of the tradesmen who made a living catering to them; view the homes of giants of the law and Prohibition bootleggers. Visit West Beach, a landmark since the 17th century, perhaps the most unique community beach corporation in the state. 64 . Hospital Pt. Lighthouse

As one of Beverly's most familiar landmarks this lighthouse commands a spectacular view of not only Salem Sound, but also 3 other lighthouses at Baker's Island, Winter Island, and Marblehead. Visitors will be guided by members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary up a winding staircase and then up a seven-step ladder to the lantern room, and from there they will pass through the hatch onto the gallery balcony to enjoy the spectacular views. Don't forget to bring your cameras!
