16 Elm Street: Within These Walls --- Ipswich
Find out how the Ipswich house at 16 Elm Street dodged demolition in 1963 and came to be the single largest artifact on permanent display at the Smithsonian American History Museum in Washington DC. Within These Walls, a living history production written and directed by J.T. Turner, tells the story of one house, five families and 200 years of American History. Played against a three quarter scale, three dimensional, painted wood and canvass replica of the house, our play illustrates how history is written in the kitchens and parlors of ordinary citizens.
